# Privacy Policy

Offlexity is a desktop application. Your documents and their version history live in your own folder, on your own computer. There is no Offlexity account, no Offlexity server holding your files, and no copy of your pack anywhere we can reach.

## What stays on your computer

Everything you open, edit or save. Your files stay in the Microsoft and PDF formats they are already in, in the folder they are already in. The version history is written into that same folder alongside them, so it syncs with your folder and belongs to you. If you sync that folder with OneDrive, it is your OneDrive doing that, under your organisation's own arrangements with Microsoft.

## What leaves, and only when you ask

The assistant panel is optional and closed until you open it. When you use it, it talks to Claude, Codex or GitHub Copilot signed in with your account, billed to your subscription. Offlexity does not resell anybody's model and does not hold a key of yours.

Whatever you ask it about is sent to that company by their own tool, under your own account with them, exactly as if you had used their app directly, and is governed by their privacy terms, not ours. Files you don't ask about are not sent. If you never open that panel, nothing leaves your computer at all.

## What we collect

During this beta, only what you send us yourself: your email address and whatever you tell us when you ask for access or report a problem. We use it to reply to you and to let you know about beta builds. We don't sell it, and we don't pass it to anybody else.

No crash reports are collected today. If that changes, this page changes in the same commit.

## What Offlexity counts

Offlexity sends anonymous feature-usage counts, things like a folder being opened, a version being saved, or the assistant panel being set up. It never sends your file names, your file contents, or anything you or the assistant write. The same events are sent on every plan; there's no tier that is watched more closely than another.

Each event carries a random per-install identifier, not an account, not a name, not derived from your hardware, and switching the counts off in Settings, Privacy deletes it and stops everything, including anything already queued. Dictation runs on your own machine by default; audio only ever leaves it if your machine can't run the on-device model and you've set an API key yourself, and Settings, Privacy names exactly when that's happening.

## Your choices

Ask us and we'll tell you what we hold on you, correct it, or delete it. Uninstalling Offlexity leaves your documents and your history where they are, in your folder, because they were never anywhere else.
