What is Offlexity?
Offlexity is a desktop AI file editor for Mac and Windows
Edit Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Markdown, photos and more in one window, yourself or with the AI you already use
Every change is shown on the page as it was and as it is now, so you can track what the AI did and undo it in one press
What files can Offlexity open and edit?
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF, Markdown, pictures and over 70 other text and code file types
Can I edit without any AI?
Yes, you can still edit files the usual way, just like in Word, Excel or a PDF editor, even offline
Can I use the AI subscription I already pay for?
Yes, sign in with Claude, ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot or OpenCode inside Offlexity, or connect their apps like Claude Desktop, Codex or Cursor
How much does Offlexity cost?
Your first month of Offlexity is free on Mac and Windows, and no card is needed
After that it is a one-time purchase, and the early bird price is on sale now: $30 for one computer, $50 for two or $60 for three
Does the version history use Git?
No, Git can break inside synced folders like OneDrive, so Offlexity keeps its own history that stays safe when several people share a folder
Where does the version history get saved?
It is stored locally in the OFLX format, and saved to the cloud automatically if the folder is in cloud storage such as OneDrive or SharePoint
Is Offlexity an alternative to Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint?
Yes, Offlexity opens and saves real .docx, .xlsx and .pptx files, so you can edit them without Microsoft Office and still send them to people who use it
You can also use both side by side, since your files stay in their own formats
Can Offlexity replace Adobe Acrobat?
For everyday PDF work, often yes: edit text, highlight, comment, fill forms, sign, split, merge, compress and convert PDFs to Word, Excel or PowerPoint
It does not cover every Acrobat feature, so try the ones you rely on during your free first month
Are my files uploaded to the cloud?
No, Offlexity is a local file editor and your files stay in your own folders
A file is only sent anywhere when you ask the AI assistant about it, and then only to the AI service you signed in with
Does Offlexity work offline?
Yes, editing, version history and comparing changes all work offline
Only the AI assistant needs an internet connection
How does Offlexity show what the AI changed?
After each request the changed files are listed, and each change is shown on the real page: Word as tracked changes, Excel cell by cell, PowerPoint slide by slide and PDF page by page

Can other AI apps edit my files through Offlexity?
Yes, Claude Desktop, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor and VS Code can connect to Offlexity, and their changes land in the same version history as everything else
Does it work with OneDrive and SharePoint folders?
Yes, open a synced OneDrive or SharePoint folder and Offlexity saves into it safely, with the version history kept alongside your files
Is there a subscription?
No, a license is one payment and you keep it, with unlimited sessions and one year of updates
Each license covers one computer, Mac or Windows, and you can buy for two or three computers at once for less
